Size and flatness control system with diagonals control
PERFECTtile is the geometrical measurement instrument for ceramic tiles realized to be integrated in all the automatic sorting lines of CMF TECHNOLOGY. The dimensional checker (caliber) utilizes infrared sensors, components extremely strong end simples. The size change is manually carried out through very simple and intuitive steps, The optical sensors are positioned on graduated reference bars to facilitate their positioning during the size change. The terminal, dedicate to control and monitor the entire unit, it’s a touch screen monitor enables to record all the machine’s parameters. Thanks to an intuitive human/machine interface, it is very simple to reprogram the machine according to previous recorded data. PERFECTtile includes a centering unit and a trait of line expressly designed for assure the best accuracy possible.
PERFECTtile unit can be integrated by a set of optical sensors (3, 5, 7… depends by the tile size need to be inspected) to control the planarity of the tiles.

Defects detected by the caliber
Parallelism at the edges: control of the defect commonly called “trapeze” or “lunette” or “coffin” (this is always a positive value).
Tile with trapeze or coffin defect.

Tile with lunette defect

Parallelism at the centre: control of the defect commonly called “soap bar” (this is always a positive value).
Tile with sand-glass defect

Tile with soap-bar defect

Tiles squaring: control of the defect commonly called “out-of-square” (this is always a positive value).
Tile with out-of-square defect

Tiles diagonals: control of the difference of the measure of the two diagonals (is an always positive value).
Tile with diagonals defect

Defects detected by planar
Tiles warping: warping is the difference of the fourth corner compared to the surface on which the other three corners of the tile rest.

Tiles corner: The defect over the corner, more commonly known as the ear defect is the maximum defect encountered in the four corners of the tile.

Tiles Flatness (concavity, convexity and localized defects): These defects identifies the concavity and convexity of the tiles and eventual localized defects over the whole tile surface.

Planar detail
Average standard: Average standard: All the calculations described above are influenced by the calculation of the average standard, that is, the machine does not simply use the values read by the sensors but all the data are processed to build an average standard of the conveyed tile and the differences are referred to this average standard generated. In this way errors due to the transport belts or burrs under the tiles are reduced.
As well, by using a PLC, the system for calculating the defects can be modified or new data can even be added.

Optionals
PERFECTtile system can be integrated of continuos inkjet unit, ideally suited for tiles codification.
By using this simple and strong device, on the edge of the tile it is possible to print the tile’s code, quality grade, lot of production, etc… with an excellent print quality. |
